Now that we have no children at home, we are left to photograph the animals to amuse ourselves. One night when I was working on the computer I turned around to find all the animals snuggled up on the couch. We have two dogs and two cats....Ferris (middle) rules the roost and tells these dogs - Maddie (left) and Benny (right) just who is in charge.

Cats and Dogs!

Twenty One Years of Wedded Bliss!
Who would have thought that we would be having our 21st anniversary? I am amazed at how quickly the time has gone by and how much fun we have had over the years.....I'm not going to say that we have not shed a few tears but the fact remains that we have had much more laughter in our lives. I look back at this photo and realize just how young were were and how much we have learned over the past twenty plus years! It has been a great ride and we are looking for ward to the next twenty years.

Balloon Festival
Saturday, June 14, 2008
Well Graduation day finally came and that means that so did the "day after" - Mitch and Joe left on their cross country trip to get to Utah on Monday morning to start work. Mitch is excited about graduation and also excited about starting work and school. The car was filled to the brim with all his worldly possessions and they are ready for the road trip everyone should do - at least once in their lives.
We will miss Mitch at home but are really excited for his adventures.

Get Ready, Get Set, Go!!!
Tonight was the Project Graduation BBQ at the Lebanon Green. As always, it was catered by Bloods Seafood and that always means that it is a good meal. They do a great job. This year the weather actually held out and was quite nice - not only did it not rain but it was warm and that was a nice change of pace! Below you can see Owen attempting to take down his brother in the Dunk Tank!

Mender Family Photo Session 2007
This is the newest and greatest family photo taken in White River Junction, VT in September 2007. We have included Anne-Marie Safford - the newest member of our family. At least for the next month or two.....Nephi and Anne-Marie are making us grandparents this summer and that will mean we are adding a new member of our family! Also pictured are Owen (right) just newly returned from his mission in southern California and Mitch (left) a senior this year. Joe and I just keep getting older and yet somehow still feel like the same kids we were twenty years ago when we got married.Goodbye LHS --- Hello BYU

Well it has finally happened....my baby is graduating from high school in a few short days. I can hardly believe that 18 years have gone by in a heartbeat.....what an amazing ride. The day after Mitch graduates he heads off for college at BYU.
This summer he will work as a sports camp counselor at BYU ---- his dream summer job and take a class or two. Right now an english class and Book of Mormon class.....let's start out slowly with college life. I suspect his social life will be where he really spends most of his time this summer anyways!
That is a story.....that is quite amazing as well but for now let's just consider it our very own "modern mormon mircale". It is really an amazing story and one miracle we are all happy to be on the receiving end of!
